LifeOftheDogs.com wants to recognize those student athletes who are not only excellent on the playing field but in the classroom as well.

Jason WebbThis week’s athlete of the week is freshman Jason Webb.

Jason is a member of the freshman basketball team here at Jesup W. Scott High School.

He is a  5’4” guard who also played for the Scott Junior Varsity team that won a championship with the “B” team. He is coached by Wakeso Patterson. Jason is the definition of a team player, according to Coach Peterson.

Jason leads by example. He handles himself as a gentleman and respects authority. He is a people person and leads by being vocal. He speaks clearly and is respected by his teammates because he can communicate in a positive manner.

Jason does a very good job of showing leadership on the playing field as well as off. He helps his teammates learn and remember the plays. He not only cares about staying out of trouble, he helps keep his teammates on the right track.

He also exemplifies excellence in the classroom by being an honor student.
