Dear Zoey: My friends have been acting funny towards me and have been associating with people thatFriendless they have talked about.  I don’t know if I should continue to try to be their friend or just leave them alone.

Dear Friendless: I’ve experienced this numerous times. You should separate yourself. You should not have to force someone to be your friend. Also, if they’re associating with people that they have talked about, then more than likely, they’ll do the same to you. In life, you’re going to have experiences when people that you thought were your friend really aren’t. Sometimes you just need to let them go and move on with your life. Good luck!

Dear Zoey: My goal is to get straight A’s this quarter. The only problem is I play sports and am very overwhelmed with balancing school, sports, volunteer work, sleep and chores. I want to do it all, but I just keep getting behind.

Dear Overwhelmed: I’m currently going through this. The best way you can get on top of your work is to get a planner and manage your time responsibly. As soon as you get home, immediately start your homework.  After you’re finished, do chores and whatever else you need to get done. I would suggest doing your volunteer work on the weekend. You have a good goal; I’m sure you’re going to accomplish it. Good luck!

Dear Zoey: Cheer-leading tryouts are approaching. I really want to tryout, but I’m scared of rejection. I’m really nervous, but I don’t want to let that hold me back.

Dear Nervous: Get out there and do your best. No one is stopping you but you! If you don’t make it this year, there is always next year. It’s okay to be nervous, but don’t let that stop you from doing what you want to do! Good luck!
